Annotation: A solution to the problem of young people’s axiological attitudes development by means of enriching the individual with national values is presented, which involves the spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren, students and cadets. The serving-learning model is considered as a method of teaching and organizing educational programs using the example of a patriotic conference. The main directions of social service within the framework of orientation towards positive changes in society are listed. The proposed model can be implemented not only in the course of subject teaching, but also during extracurricular activities. The stages of serving-learning model implementation are described. It is emphasized that the value of the service-learning model is in resolving the contradiction between the negative phenomena of society and the tasks of educational organizations in developing young people’s spiritual and moral consciousness. Accordingly, there is a problem: what projects can be implemented to motivate young people to participate in patriotic events in order to preserve history about the Great Patriotic War as well as to develop their spiritual and moral qualities. In conclusion, the planned results of service learning model realization are presented in the framework of addressing issues of preserving and transferring knowledge about the events of the Great Patriotic War.
