Annotation: The article is devoted to the problem of adaptation of modern geoinformation technologies to domestic specifics of the archaeological researches covering the period of Modern times (18th – the beginning of the 20th centuries) in Russia. On the basis of the analysis of modern publications of experts in the sphere of information technologies and archeology specifics of input and storage of spatial data, snapping to it of different kinds of information, generation of standard forms of the reporting, creation of virtual reconstruction of archaeological objects are considered. The analysis of the examples reviewed in the research indicates that domestic experience of use of geoinformation technologies in archaeological researches often has the specifics which have distinctions with common international practice. It is connected with features of archaeological heritage of Russia and also with difference in standards of the scientific description of archeological objects, forms of reporting and certification. The analysis of initiative developments which have been made in Russia in recent years indicates that their integration and mass introduction requires formation of the general strategy of informatization of archaeological researches.
