Annotation: Country of origin – a rule that establishes criteria for determining the country of origin of goods. Determination of the country of origin is necessary for the purposes of the application of measures of customs and state regulation of trade and tax policies, namely the calculation and payment of customs duties, excise duties and VAT.The article shows the role of customs control in ensuring economic safety of foreign trade activities of Russia.
