PROJECTING NATIONAL CHARACTERS IN ETHNO-PSYCHOLOGICAL RESEARCHES

Page:19-25

Release: 2018-2 (23)

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2018-2-19-25

Annotation: The article views historic premises and present-day peculiarities of projecting national characters in ethnopsychology. It finds specificity and ways of studying national self-consciousness and ethno-stereotypes on this basis. It emphasizes prospectiveness of this method of studying ethnic groups and its being used as methodological base for a number of interdisciplinary spheres focusing on intercultural and international relationships. Interdisciplinary relations in the spectrum of issues of national character and ethnostereotypes are shown as well.

Page:21-26

Release: 2018-3 (24)

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2018-3-21-26

Annotation: In this article, the role of information-communicative technologies in the teaching a foreign language in an institute of higher education is considered. The aim of the author is to discover the enormous possibilities of information technologies which contribute to more effective mastering of a foreign language by students. This topic is relevant in the context of the ubiquitous use of information technologies and the urgent need to address to them when studying at a university. In the context of a competence approach to learning, the cognitive capabilities of computers, social networks and the Internet deserve priority attention. The author analyzes various forms, methods and results of using information technologies. The author makes a conclusion about the positive value of the application of information-communicative technologies and the successful formation of professional and personal competences. The main results indicate the increase in students’ motivation to learn a foreign language; overcoming the language barrier; development of speech competence; acquisition of cultural knowledge; development of creative abilities.

ATHLETIC GYMNASTICS TECHNOLOGY AS A COUNTERBALANCE TO DIGITAL OVERLOAD

Page:23-26

Release: 2018-1 (22)

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2018-1-23-26

Annotation: The article proves role and significance of athletic gymnastics as a means of cognitive and emotional discharge under increasing information streams and information overload. It presents a technology consisting of a complex of exercises at different stages that provide total invigoration of organism and psychological well-being.

THE INFLUENCE OF PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS ON THE PROCESS

Page:23-28

Release: 2018-4 (25)

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2018-4-23-28

Annotation: Strategic competency and its role in formation of students’ readiness for foreign communicative activity is one of the most important conditions of effective foreign training of non-linguistic students for successful intercultural communication. It is important as to be able to practice effective interpersonal and intercultural communication, which is considered as the basic result of high education, a modern specialist must have a sum of linguistic, cross-cultural and etiquette knowledge as well as be able to choose definite linguistic clichés which are appropriate for the communicative situation. A graduate must also be able to react to unexpected turnings of the conversation, must know how to choose the adequate line of communicative behavior and how to avoid from some possible problems, which can obstruct effective interaction of partners in communication. However, to make such communicative activity possible, strategic competence must be considered as students’ and graduates’ functional feature. Thus, the purpose of this article is to analyze the pedagogical conditions considered as one of the components of a pedagogical framework. The main problems the author deals with are: to analyze and classify the phenomenon of pedagogical conditions; to emphasize and describe the pedagogical conditions which may have a positive impact on the process of formation of students’ strategic competence; to define the key features of pedagogical conditions which determine the process of formation of the strategic competence while studying foreign languages at non-linguistic university. The solution of the problems was carried out with the help of general scientific methods, such as analysis and synthesis as well as description and modeling. As a result of the research the author introduces an author’s model of the complex of pedagogical conditions which promote the formation of non-linguistic students’ strategic competence.
