IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TERNARY SYSTEM TO MEASURE THE METRE OF A POETIC WORK

Page:18-24

Release: 2024-3 (48)

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2024-3-18-24

Annotation: When measuring the metre of a poetic work in verse, feet are usually taken as a basis, which consist of stressed and unstressed syllables. At the same time, it is necessary to determine the size of the foot in advance. With further measurements, it may also turn out that in some lines of the poem the sequence of stressed and unstressed sylla- bles differs from the first line. That is, some positions of syllables in the poem cannot be unambiguously attributed to either stressed or unstressed ones. Such a discrepancy can greatly confuse the student. To solve this problem, it is proposed to take into account not two variants of syllables, but three: unstressed, incompletely stressed and stressed syllables. The metre of the poem is proposed to be written not in words, but in numbers indicating the type of syllables. With this approach, there is no need to determine the length of the foot in advance, and it is also not difficult to determine the metre of poems in which not all lines have the same sequence of stressed and unstressed syllables. In order to automate the measurement of metre, as well as for use as an electronic educational resource in literature lessons, the intellectual information system “Fet.Online” is created, which allows us not only to deter- mine the poetic size, but also to visualize the structure of the poem, as well as to form its textual description. The system also has a database of poems from the school literature course, which students can use for individual work.

WHY DO LOGIC TEXTBOOKS CONTAIN LOGICAL ERRORS?

Page:7-14

Release: 2023-1 (42)

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2023-1-7-14

Annotation: The article analyzes the ambiguities in the foundations of modern logic due to the fact that the relations of set theory are used to substantiate the correct modes of categorical syllogism and the interpretation of predicate calculus, while set theory itself is defined in the axiomatic approach as a theory formed on the basis of axioms and rules for deducing predicate calculus by adding illogical (proper) axioms. It is proposed to apply elementary laws of the algebra of sets, which can be justified without axioms, based on the analysis of polysyllogistics-type reasoning. The analysis of the syllogism modes recommended for use is performed using simple and understandable properties of the relation of inclusion of sets. This analysis shows that the rules of syllogistics set forth in logic textbooks contain two types of logical errors: 1) some syllogism modes, which are considered correct in many textbooks, contradict some acceptable versions of their interpretation; 2) there are correct arguments with two premises, which in some textbooks are evaluated as incorrect modes. It follows from this that the cause of errors in logic textbooks are incorrectness in the justification of logic.

Page:13-26

Release: 2023-2 (43)

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2023-2-13-26

Annotation: The article describes the phenomenon of excessive information consumption, which is increasingly mentioned both in corporeal and social discourse. On the background of evident “digital saturation”, a hypothesis of probable decreasing interest in the internet as daily information space in the nearest future is proposed. In order to justify this hypothesis, the reasons for internet gaining popularity are analyzed beyond evident technological context. As a result, it was stated that there is an overdue internet crisis coming from technological forms of information exchange getting a huge handicap of digital information content quality. The research draws parallels with television as the main predigital information space that gained and lost its popularity in the previous century for similar reasons. It is concluded that reducing the mass consumption of digital information and reducing the popularity of digital resources can have such positive effects as improving their quality and rationalizing the information behavior of users.

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2019-2-7-14

Annotation: Training model information recommendation system is associated with the study of applied mathematical and information methods and models, their combinations in order to ensure the necessary accuracy of the forecasts and conclusions. The article deals machine learning of model recommendation system using statistical methods and analysis of big data, aimed at addressing the issues of individualization of education. In this case, the accuracy of the machine learning model depends on the type of statistical model used to predict the probability of some event from the values of the set of features, as well as the training sample used to select the parameters, and the regularization function used to improve the generalizing ability of the resulting model. The study tested models based on logistic regression, methods of naive Bayesian classifier (Naïve Bayes), lasso-type regression. Experimentally confirmed the theoretical assumption about the possibility of creating a recommendation system on the individualization of education on the basis of an array of educational data, including the results of educational and extracurricular activities of students. Conclusions about the presence of correlation dependencies in the data, which can be used to improve the accuracy of the model of the recommendation system, are formulated.

DOI: 10.21777/2500-2112-2018-4-23-28

Annotation: Strategic competency and its role in formation of students’ readiness for foreign communicative activity is one of the most important conditions of effective foreign training of non-linguistic students for successful intercultural communication. It is important as to be able to practice effective interpersonal and intercultural communication, which is considered as the basic result of high education, a modern specialist must have a sum of linguistic, cross-cultural and etiquette knowledge as well as be able to choose definite linguistic clichés which are appropriate for the communicative situation. A graduate must also be able to react to unexpected turnings of the conversation, must know how to choose the adequate line of communicative behavior and how to avoid from some possible problems, which can obstruct effective interaction of partners in communication. However, to make such communicative activity possible, strategic competence must be considered as students’ and graduates’ functional feature. Thus, the purpose of this article is to analyze the pedagogical conditions considered as one of the components of a pedagogical framework. The main problems the author deals with are: to analyze and classify the phenomenon of pedagogical conditions; to emphasize and describe the pedagogical conditions which may have a positive impact on the process of formation of students’ strategic competence; to define the key features of pedagogical conditions which determine the process of formation of the strategic competence while studying foreign languages at non-linguistic university. The solution of the problems was carried out with the help of general scientific methods, such as analysis and synthesis as well as description and modeling. As a result of the research the author introduces an author’s model of the complex of pedagogical conditions which promote the formation of non-linguistic students’ strategic competence.
